I've found using VSCode is the most palitble and produces a nice looking pdf without much hassle.

1. Install VSCode
2. Install this extension
3. Open/Create your resume in VSCode resume.md
4. Ensure markdown syntax highlighting is enabled.
5. There is preview option on the right hand side.
6. Export: F1 > “Markdown PDF: Export (pdf)”
   1. You just type in the search window.
